Milo M. Benningfield, Principal
Milo is the founding principal of Benningfield Financial Advisors. An attorney as well as investment adviser, he enjoys helping families and individuals make good strategic choices with their financial resources and the life decisions that those resources ultimately support.
Originally from Texas, Milo graduated from Rice University, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and afterwards earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the California and Massachusetts State Bars and holds the CFP® designation.
Before founding BFA, he worked as a corporate-strategy consultant in Massachusetts and practiced law for over a decade in California. During earlier days, he also had the pleasure of driving a school van one summer in Normandy, France, working as a movie projectionist, and tearing down his grandfather's barn (upon request) near the Texas panhandle.
Milo is regularly quoted by the financial press on investing and personal-finance issues in such publications as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and BusinessWeek. He also enjoys writing about such issues in BFA's blog and newsletter.
He and his wife live in San Francisco with their two sons.
